Music and poetry contribute to romance
We initially met while Herb was the musician for the Bill Martin workshop in McFarland Auditorium in June of 1981.
I was a junior in business administration and had one week off work to take a class -- any class which would offer at least three credits. I understood this (workshop) was a class which covered contemporary authors. Wrong! I found myself listening to authors who wrote children's books and learning children's music and poetry.
Although I was convinced I wouldn't get much from the workshop, I actually ended up with a husband, two bonus (step) daughters and three more daughters of my own. Best mistake I ever made! (I used the music, poetry and literature with our 5 daughters)!
