Bethany Andreasen | home page

(B.A., University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire; M.A., Ph.D., Cornell University, 1987), specializes in 20th century American history. Her research interests are focused in the area of social/cultural/intellectual history, and in particular the history of education. She has been at MSU since 1991, and currently serves as the history and social science BSE student teacher supervisor.

Joseph Jastrzembski | home page

(B.A., University of Texas at El Paso; M.A., Ph.D. University of Chicago, 1994) specializes in 19th century Native American history. His research interests include the Southwest and Plains, ethnohistory, folklore and museum studies. He has been at MSU since 1997 and currently serves as academic coordinator for Native American Studies. He is currently history department coordinator.

Ernst Pijning | home page

(M.A., University of Leiden; M.A., Ph.D., Johns Hopkins University, 1997), specializes in Latin American history. His research interests include the eighteenth century southern Atlantic, Brazil, and cross-cultural trade. He teaches a wide variety of classes in Latin American, African, and Atlantic history. He has been at MSU since 1999.

Daniel Ringrose | home page

(B.A., Carleton College; M.A., Ph.D., University of Michigan, 1995) has been at MSU since 1995. He currently teaches a variety of classes on European history, France, social history, history of technology and imperialism. His areas of concentration include modern France and Germany, gender history, professionalization, elites and problems in labor history. He served as department coordinator through August 2007.

Jonathan Wagner

(B.A., Bowdoin College; M.A., University of Pennsylvania; J.D., Ph.D., University of Wisconsin-Madison, 1969), specializes in modern European history, particularly German history. His research interests are focused on German migration to Canada. He has been at MSU since 1984.
